 |
Linear sensors are incorporated in hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders,
solely for servoing applications. Whether the installation be hydraulic or pneumatic, where the sensor runs the risk of physical damage (shock, hostile environment …), and where the design of the machine prohibits the use of a linear sensor, the integrated linear sensor is the answer.
There are three major advantages to installing the sensors internally in this way :
The sensors allow you to save space in your application, keeping pace with
the continual drive for and research into miniaturisation.
The sensors are protected from external stresses (pesticide, shock, acid
products…).
The open design of this range of linear sensors ensures improved reliability,
a long service life and easy maintenance at the lowest cost.
Using the conductive-plastic potentiometer technology, these sensors offer
so-called infinite resolution. They are designed to operate at temperatures ranging
from -40 °C to +125 °C and for cylinders moving at speeds of up to 5 m/s
for a pneumatic cylinder.
Integrated sensors usually have linearity adaptations and customised electrical
and mechanical travel. |
