This "non contacting" technology uses the following phenomenon : when a magnetic fi eld is applied perpendicularly to a conductive plate through which a current is passed, a Voltage signal called “Hall Voltage" is detected. This principle is applied to the sensor by installing two magnets on the moving part, which then identifi es its angular position.
